Customize your rug

Our Online Bespoke Program provides easy, economical rug solutions through our use of hand-knotted or hand-tufted constructions, our use of two knotted yarn systems (Cut Pile, Viscose) and five hand-tufted yarn systems (cut pile, loop, hard twist, thick, and viscose blend). Add to that our pom board of over 200 stylish colors and 5 standard shapes (rectangle, round, square, runner & oval) and you can easily create almost any rug to fit any room. Clients can easily work with existing decor and size requirements to get exactly what they are looking for. You can even adjust the yarn texture from normal ‘cut pile’ to a ‘loop pile’ or select ‘faux silk’ yarns to add that ‘sparkle’ to your design. Once satisfied with your colours, why not insert your rug into one of the room settings to give you an even better idea of how the rug might look in your room. Once in the room setting, you can still change your rug colours if required. When you have your design ready, you can save it as a PDF file or proceed to place the order online. Try it now!

In case you are not able to find the pattern or the particular colour you are looking for, we can provide renderings derived from inspirations, such as fabric and photos, as well as your suggestions to give you several options from which to choose. Custom rugs range in complexity from the simplest, such as pulling an element from a fabric to comprise a border rug, to the interpretation of original artwork.

Renderings

• Custom Renderings take 2 to 3 days depending on complexity.
• Final Renderings must be approved and signed prior to production.
• Srike-offs for Custom Projects are recommended.

Available Shapes, Sizes

• Rectangle, Square, Oval, Circle & Runner (Other free form shapes may require a template).
• There is no minimum size limit, however, if the rug area is below 1m², chargeable price would be for 1m²
• Rug width exceeding 350cm or a single rug exceeding 12m² would attract a freight surcharge of 10%

Texture, Quality & Construction

• Tufted rugs use all or some of the following: Cut-pile, Loop, Over Twist, Thick and Viscose, which is used for Silken Highlights.
• Loop yarn tends to be 2 to 3 shades lighter. Strike off is recommended.
• Knotted rugs use Wool and Viscose combination.

Wool Content

• Standard tufted rugs use Indian Wool. Pure New Zealand Wool is available upon request.
• Knotted rugs use a blend of 70% Indian and 30% New Zealand Wool. Pure New Zealand Wool is also available upon request.

Finishing

• Standard pile height of Tufted rugs is 4/8".
• Standard pile height of Knotted rugs is 7mm.
• Rugs are generally Carved unless specified otherwise.

Strike-offs

• Available on request, please call for pricing.
• Standard size 45x45cm or 60x90cm.
• Lead time 4-6 weeks.

Delivery

• Tufted: Size 274x366 cm (9'x12') or smaller - 8 to 10 weeks, larger - 10 to 12 weeks depending on the rug size.
• Knotted: Size 274x366 cm (9'x12') or smaller - 10 to 12 weeks, larger - 12 to 15 weeks depending on the rug size.
